About Paul Yanchek

ABOUT ME
I am a man who wants to passionately pursue Jesus. In some ways I would be called an Evangelical. In some ways I might be called a Progressive. In some ways I would be called a Charistmatic. In some ways I could be considered Sacramental. And I have come to peace with the tension involved in carrying each of those labels.
I grew up in a Byzantine Catholic Church, then began attending a non-denominational church, then an Evangelical Free Church and a Baptist Church, as well as an Assemblies of God and a Vineyard Church. I went to an Evangelical Friends college and a Brethren seminary. I am currently working on my doctorate at a Presbyterian seminary. I served for three years with the Church of the Brethren and over twenty years with The Christian and Missionary Alliance. I'm a bit of a spiritual mutt.
I currently live in Pittsburgh, PA with my wife of twenty-five years, two children, two crazy cats, and the best dog ever!
